Ph. D. Brown University. Originally from Huanchar (Junín), Peru. She is a scholar, educator, and award-winning writer, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Spanish & Portuguese Department at Smith College, following a tenure-track appointment at Salisbury University (2022–2025) and a Visiting Assistant Professorship at Brown University (2021–2022). She is the author of six poetry collections, including Gravitaciones (2013; bilingüal edition Spanish-English, 2017), Insomnio vocal (2016), Travesía invertebrada seguida de Wandeo/ Rambling Journey followed by Wandeo (2019), Hope is Tanning on a Nudist Beach (2022), and La muda (2023). Her research areas include transnational and cross-disciplinary approaches to Latin American literature, poetry, and poetics, intertwining critical Indigenous studies, Afro-poetics, gender, and posthuman studies. Her book Poesía e insurrección: La Revolución cubana en el imaginario latinoamericano [Poetry and Insurrection: The Cuban Revolution in the Latin American Imaginary]  examines the dialogues between the Caribbean and the Andean region, focusing on the cultural impact of the Cuban revolution on Latin American poetry. She is a former Research Fellow at Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut (Germany). She holds an M.A. in Hispanic literary and Cultural Studies from University of Illinois at Chicago. She regularly writes in GociterraHer​ poetry has earned different accolades including, Oversound Chapbook Prize 2021, Bronze medal to the best poetry book in English in the International Latino Book Awards 2023, and Honorable Mention to the best poetry book in Spanish in the International Latino Book Awards 2024. She has also taught at The University of Illinois at Chicago and Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.

Ph. D. Brown University. Es investigadora, docente y escritora peruana, nacida en Huanchar (Junín, Perú). Actualmente, es profesora en la universidad Smith College (EE.UU.). Sus áreas de investigación incluyen enfoques transnacionales y multidisciplinarios a la poesía, poética y literatura latinoamericana con atención a los estudios críticos indígenas, Afro-poéticas, el posthumanismo y los estudios de género, con especial énfasis en los Andes y el Caribe hispano. Ha sido investigadora visitante en el Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut (Alemania). Ha publicado Poesía e insurrección: La Revolución cubana en el imaginario latinoamericano (Iberoamericana Vervuert, 2023) y numerosos libros de poesía, entre ellos Insomnio vocal, La muda (Juan Felipe Herrera International Latino Award 2024) y Hope is Tanning on a Nudist Beach (Oversound Prize 2021/ Juan Felipe Herrera International Latino Award 2023). Su escritura aparece en Voces al norte de la cordillera: Antología de voces andinas en los Estados Unidos (2016), Los Bárbaros (EE.UU.), Stadtsprachen Magazin, Madera, alba.lateinamerika lesen, Lateinamerika Nachrichten (Alemania), etc. Ha participado en el Festival Internacional de Poesía Latinale (Alemania, 2018) y la Feria del Libro Hispana/Latina en Nueva York (2017, 2020). Ha sido docente en Brown University, The University of Illinois at Chicago, Salisbury University y en la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Es maestra en Literatura Hispánica por University of Illinois at Chicago y dirige Gociterra, portal de crítica, creación y traducción.
